Town of Shelburn Seeks Applicants for Vacancy on the Shelburn Redevelopment Commission Shelburn, IN – Due to the recent resignation of a member, the Shelburn Redevelopment Commission has an open position. The Town of Shelburn is now accepting applications for a new commissioner to fill the vacancy for the 2025 term. The mission of the Shelburn Redevelopment Commission is to promote and encourage business growth and expansion, while managing land use and improvements within the town. The Commission works on addressing economic development issues, providing valuable land use and development information to local officials, and offering a platform for public input on various development and economic matters. Interested individuals who would like to contribute to the town’s future growth and development are encouraged to submit a letter of intent or complete an application. Applications can be mailed or dropped off at the Shelburn Town Hall located at 15 N. Railroad St., Shelburn, IN 47879, or emailed to [email protected]. The Shelburn Town Council invites all community members to attend a Work Session Meeting to discuss upcoming projects and town planning initiatives.
🗓 Date: Monday, August 25th, 2025 🕓 Time: 4:00 PM 📍 Location: Shelburn Community Building, 30 N Interurban St., Shelburn, IN This work session will focus on important discussions surrounding the OCRA Planning Grant. The meeting will feature consultations with Midwestern Engineers and THRIVE West Central to develop a comprehensive communication plan and public engagement plan for the grant initiative. A Town Council work session is a public meeting held to review and discuss upcoming agenda items, ask questions, and gather information ahead of a formal council meeting. Please note that no formal action or public testimony will be taken during this session. We encourage community members to attend and stay informed as we continue to plan for the future of Shelburn.
